I hope you'll let me in your inbox! I promise I'll be gentle and fun!
Hi, it’s me! Here to send you an occasional piece of my brain, and any new info about my art shop! But why?
Because I’m figuring my own sh*t out, and thought that if I shout into the void and it helps just one other person feel less alone or figure their own somethings out, then it’ll be worth it.
So here we are!
So who is this for?
Anyone who wants to know about my art, or hear what I am mulling over lately. I’ll also include my latest comics, art projects for kids (or adults!), or anything else I’ve been working on lately. Maybe this will give me some accountability, and I hope it can maybe inspire you, too!
What can you expect?
I’ll post only when I have an art shop update, or a lot to shout into the void about.
If you’re a free subscriber, you’ll get those posts. If you’re a paid subscriber, you’ll be supporting my ability to do more writing and art, get early access to my art store launches, and be able to receive freebies when I have the spoons to draw things for you!
So that’s it, in a nutshell!
I’ll leave you with a fun explanation of how to screen print your own galaxies. This one is preschool friendly, but I encourage people of all ages to try it out!
How to Screen Print A Galaxy
First, you’ll need screens. You can order pre-made silkscreens, or make your own with silk mesh and wooden frames. If you’re making your own, staple the mesh so it’s taught on the wooden frames. Then cover the edges with duct tape for safety.
Next, you’ll need stickers. We used stars and circles to make stars and planets! Put them on the front of your screen, spaced out so there’s negative space for your print.
Flip your screen over onto a piece of paper, add a blob of paint, and use a squeegee (or a flat piece of cardboard) to spread the paint across the screen. When the screen is fully covered in paint, your print is ready to lift.
Lift your silkscreen off the paper and voila!
